What are the hallmarks of a Primary Care specialist?
With primary care becoming increasingly important, demand for skilled professionals across roles ranging from medical sales representatives to business development managers is very much in demand.
Highly motivated, driven to succeed and with strong business acumen, this varied and dynamic role will involve liaising closely with Primary Care Trusts (PCTs) and visiting hospitals, consultants, pharmacists and purchasers.
You’ll be able to draw on your in-depth knowledge of the NHS and PCTs, and enjoy putting your excellent planning and organisational skills into practice.
What do I need on my CV?
You’ll have a successful track record in hospital sales or medical sales and experience of product launches, and you’ll be able to identify and action new business opportunities.
You’ll have:
- Very strong selling and negotiation skills
- Top interpersonal and communication skills
- Enthusiasm for working independently as well as part of a team
- A keenness to gain and maintain excellent product and disease area knowledge
