Requirements for jobs in orthopaedic sales:
We have fantastic opportunities for people wanting to specialise in the orthopaedic area. To apply for orthopaedic jobs you will need to have a range of skills including some of the following, please note that some vacancies will require more specific skills:
- Hospital Sales and Medical Sales professionals with a track record of success & product launch experience
- Motivated, dedicated & driven to succeed
- Customer focussed and knowledge of the orthopaedic sector and orthopaedic products e.g. spinal orthotics, ankle foot orthoses and other orthotic devices. (Click on the following link for more information on medical devices sales).
- You will generally be selling within hospitals to orthopaedic specialists, surgeons and physiotherapists and so good communication, negotiation and business skills are required.
- Able to gain and defend formulary status and able to secure funding for products
- ABPI Qualified (this will depend on the job)
- Some marketing experience may be advantageous
- Orthopaedic managers will also need to show examples of leadership, management, direction and coaching.
