Description
Assistant Financial Analyst - Berkshire
 
The role of Assistant Financial Analyst is to provide support to close the Month End Process in a timely and accurate manner and to fully assist the Operations functions of Quintiles Commercial UK  by the provision of financial analysis and information. 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
 
Ø  Month End close processes and procedures for P&L including preparing relevant journals.
Ø  Monthly Support and analysis/posting of Resourcing Department information.
Ø  Preparation and review of monthly variance analysis.
Ø  Completion and review of month end expense and bonus accruals.
Ø  Payroll spreadsheet review and subsequent allocation posting from the analysis.
Ø  IT and Fleet analysis and monthly posting.
Ø  Preparation and upload of monthly data into Cognos for Spotfire reporting requirements
Ø  Preparation of various Month end Drill downs of Revenue and Costs.
Ø  Training Recharges posted each month.
Ø  Running and collating the Finance department Survey as required.
Ø  Running FIAR's (Fees In Advance/Arrears Reconciliation) ensuring values match TB by project, running queries and aged debt.
Ø  Various department reconciliation (RBM- Rep Allocation and Maternity & Long Term Sick)
Ø  Assistance in the preparation of SOX and Internal/External audit requirements.
Ø  Provide Fleet Cover as required.
Ø  Needs to be a strong team player, working as a team within Finance and across the business.
Ø  Needs to prioritise workload to meet monthly deadlines.
Ø  Identify risks and opportunities and work with the business to ensure opportunities are realised and risks avoided or minimised
Ø  Looks to continually improve process and systems
Ø  Other tasks as defined by Senior Financial Analyst and Associate Director, Finance.
 
This is a temporary position to initially with a potential to become permanent.
